Term 1 Week 8 Photos

This week has been ‘Maths Week Scotland’, and to mark this occasion we’ve taken part in a range of activities. For the younger members of our class, this has involved making playdough and talking about the maths skills we needed for the task. For older pupils, this has meant learning new games and developing our number knowledge in different ways. Everyone also took part in a country-wide Sumdog Competition. Well done to all for trying your best and for answering as many questions correctly as possible.

Some other highlights of our week include:

  • Planning, writing and editing imaginative stories
  • Learning new facts about the USA, exploring objects and making a symbolic statue like the Statue of Liberty
  • Learning about the American painter Georgia O’Keeffe and creating our own detailed floral artwork
  • Practising different movement skills in PE
  • Measuring force during our science session
  • Having paired reading time

We were lucky enough to have a sunny end to our week. ☀️ 🙂 Wishing all families a happy weekend!
